The Scandic Kalmar Väst is a modern hotel with Scandinavian style interiors, situated in the western part of Kalmar, three kilometres from the town centre. This six floor hotel features 148 guestrooms, all of which are decorated in a Nordic style with wooden floors, and include satellite television with pay movies, Internet connections, hair dryers and trouser presses.
After a day's sightseeing guests can unwind in the heated indoor pool or relax in the sauna, while the kids are kept occupied in the playroom. The playroom features games, movies and books, and there is also a playground on the premises. The Calmare Nyckel Restaurant is open for dinner and serves Swedish dishes from an ā la carte menu, while the Lobby Bar offers a selection of drinks, sandwiches and light meals and is open until 1 AM.
